Overview

The Tools Area includes a "Control" tab and a "Process" tab, both of which have a display area, directly below, that displays the options for each selected tool.

"Control" tab

Displays all the controls (Display, Input and Menu/Selection type controls) that can be used within a project. When a control is selected in this section, access is provided to the various styles available for that same control in the Style Preview section.

The "Control" tab appears by default. To display the “Process” tab, click its tab.

"Process" tab

When open, this tab displays the available groups of processes. Select a specific group of processes to access all the processes included in it. They are displayed in the lower tab section - the Process Display section.

When necessary, you can re-dimension the Tools Area - drag the dividing line left or right to expand or reduce the exposed area.

For example, if you want to view the full name of a process or have the styles of the selected control displayed, all at the same time, instead of scrolling up/down the Style Preview section, drag the dividing line to the left.

It is also useful to expand the Working Area, if needed - simply reduce the Tools Area.

This resizing is memorized  - if you edit the area's dimensions and, then, close the MCL-Designer session, the next time you open MCL-Designer, the Tools Area will still have the dimensions you defined earlier.
