Copying an Operator

Overview

 

If you want to create operators from existing operator profiles, you can use the copy profile operation.

 

Step-by-step

 

1. Click Operators Button (in the Control Panel section) and, in the resulting row below, select Operators Sub Module Button to open the "Operators" page.

2. Select the operator(s) you want to copy by clicking the corresponding Check box.

 

3. Click Copy Operator Header Button. This opens a "New Operator" page in "edit mode".

 

 

NoteIf the copied operator's profile does NOT include voice attributes, the "New Operator" page will only display three tabs: "Properties", "Access rights" and "Speech In/Out". If you copy an operator profile with voice attributes, you access further options in the "Speech In/Out" tab as well as another tab - "Advanced Voice Settings".

4. Fill in the following options (fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory):

 

Operator ID *

Enter a different identification number for the operator copy.

Reference Code

Enter the customer's internal operator identification reference.

Operator Group *

Select the operator group to include the operator copy into.

First Name

The field displays the copied operator's first name and "- copy". If required, edit the operator's first name.

Last Name

The field displays the copied operator's last name and "- copy". If required, edit the operator's last name.

Short Name

If required, define an alternative name to identify the operator profile copy.

Gender

Select the operator's gender.

Language

Select the language to be used by the operator in the application.

Info 1 > 5

These field labels can be customized (their designation can be modified according to the information they are supposed to retrieve). Enter the requested information.

Notes

If required, enter any relevant information regarding the operator.

 

5. Go to the "Access rights" tab.

6. Define the operator's access rights in the following fields:

 

Role *

The field displays the original role of the copied operator. If required, select another role from the drop-down list.

Password

Enter a password for the operator copy to access the system.

Access Dates

If required, define the period of time the operator will have access to the system. Select a beginning and ending date by clicking the corresponding Date button.

Authorized Device

As an option, assign a particular device to the operator copy. Click lupa button to select a device. See Detail of "Select Device" window below.

Select a Device Window

 

Select the device by checking the corresponding Check box and clicking Confirm button.

If required, use the search box or the drop-down list with the available device groups to filter the displayed information.

 

7. Go to the "Speech In/Out" tab.

8. This tab displays the parameters set for the copied operator profile. if required, modify them (the fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory).

 

Spoken Name

Enter the name that will be prompted to the operator in the voice dialog (ex: the welcome message).

Speech In Language *

Maintain or select another language for the operator to interact with the voice application.

Speech Out Language *

Maintain or select another language for the voice device to interact with the operator.

Speech in Accent

Maintain or select another file to store the fine tuning of voice recognition. The drop-down list displays the accent files added in the "Voice" tab included in the "Site Details" page.

TTS Speed

Maintain or define a new speed to be used by the TTS (text to Speech) engine in the corresponding box.

TTS Volume

Maintain or define a new speech volume value to be used by the TTS (text to Speech) engine in the corresponding box.

Global Volume

Maintain or define a new global audio volume value for the voice device in the corresponding box.

Accepted Speech Beep

Check this option to enable a success/confirmation beep.

Rejected Speech Beep

Check this option to enable an unsuccessful/rejection beep.

 

9. Go to the "Advanced Voice Settings" tab.

10. This tab displays the parameters set for the copied operator profile. If necessary, modify them:

 

Technical Profile

Maintain or select a different technical profile from the drop-down list. The drop-down list displays the technical profile files added in the "Voice" tab included in the "Site Details" page.

Voice Type

Maintain or select a different voice type from the drop-down list (Auto, Neutral, Male, Female or Child).

Speech Sensitivity

Maintain or select a different speech sensitivity value for the voice devices in the corresponding box. For most cases, the default value is the preferred choice.

Recognizer Sensitivity

Maintain or select a different recognizer sensitivity value in the corresponding box. For most cases, the default value is the preferred choice.

Log Level

Maintain or select a different voice log level (1 = enabled, 0 = disabled. The other levels are not supported, at the moment.)

Log until

Click Date button to select or maintain the end date for log generating.

Adaptation Status

This field is NOT editable. Its content depends on the optional voice adaptation performed by the operator. See The Adaptation Process.

11. Click Confirm button to complete the adding of a new operator.
