Working with Variable Format Numeric Process
Process Purpose
The "Variable Format Numeric" process is used to format a number inside a variable.
Check the provided "Variable Format Numeric" examples at the end of the topic.
When you add a process, you are required to define its settings. This occurs in the process's properties window which is displayed automatically after having added the "Variable Format Numeric" process.
If any subsequent edition is required, double-click the process to open its properties window and enter the necessary modifications.
Proceed as follows:

Click to select the variable with the number to format. See Variable Usage.
The value of the source variable CANNOT exceed 9 integer units and/or 6 decimals spaces Ex: "123456789.123456".

Integer Part |
Define the length of the integer part of the number to be formatted by entering it in the box. |
Decimals Part |
Define the length of the decimal part of the number to be formatted by entering it in the box. |
Add Sign |
Select the sign to be added before the number to format from the drop-down: "None" - (default option) there will be no "+" or "-" sign before the number. "+/-" - the number will include the corresponding sign - "+" for a positive number and "-" for a negative number. " - only") - only adds the "-" sign, if the number is negative. |
Fill With |
Select the fill character (“None”, “Zeroes” or “Blank”). |

Enter a numeric value in its original format (= format used for the numeric values stored in the source variable). |
After |
This box, automatically, displays that same value but with the format you have defined in the previous options. |
Store Result into Variable |

Click to select the variable that will receive the formatted result. See To Select/Create a Variable. |
If required, click (on the upper right corner) to enter notes about this process in the resulting text box. These notes will be displayed in the corresponding "Actions" tab or "Process" window (in the "Notes" field) and in the "Developer Report".
After filling in the required options, click to conclude or select to abort the operation.
The added process is displayed in the corresponding "Actions" tab or "Process" window.
Use the right-click in MCL-Designer's input boxes to access some related options as well as the general "Cut", "Copy"; "Paste"; "Search" actions (active/inactive according to the current context).
Ex: If you right-click the "Variable" input box (included in a "Conversion's" properties window), you are provided with general editing/search actions and other more specific options such as "Variable Select" (see "Variable Select"); "Variable Insert" (see "Variable Insert"); "Insert Special Character" (see To Insert Special Characters into a Control's Text Input Field) and "Localization Select" (see Localization List).
If you right-click another input box, it may provide other possibilities.
